Kotak Mahindra Bank's joint MD KVS Manian resigns

In his resignation letter, KVS Manian said, "I hereby tender my resignation from the services of Kotak Mahindra Bank for pursuing other opportunities in Financial Services..."

KVS Manian had been with the lender for almost 30 years.

KVS Manian, who was elevated in a top management rejig at Kotak Mahindra Bank in January, has resigned. "...please note that Mr. Krishnan Venkat Subramanian (“Mr. KVS Manian”), ceases to be the Whole-time Director designated Joint Managing Director, with immediate effect on account of his resignation considered, noted and accepted the above," read the exchange filing from the bank on April 30.

Manian, who had been with the lender for almost 30 years. In his resignation letter, Manian said, "I hereby tender my resignation from the services of Kotak Mahindra Bank for pursuing other opportunities in Financial Services, that I am exploring. Consequently, I would also step down from the Board of the Bank."

His responsibilities included spearheading the growth of wholesale bank, commercial bank, private banking, asset reconstruction division and wholesale credit. He was also overseeing the institutional equities and investment banking businesses of the Group. Manian was previously whole time director - corporate, institutional & investment banking & wealth management at Kotak Mahindra Bank.
