Britannia MD Varun Berry joins Asian Paints board as independent director

The Board of Directors of Asian Paints has approved the appointment of Varun Berry as an Independent Director for a period of five years with effect from 23rd October 2024 to 22nd October 2029.
A veteran FMCG leader Berry is Vice Chairman and Managing Director of foods major Britannia Industries Ltd. He joined Britannia as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in January 2013. Berry has over 38-years of experience, including stints at companies like Hindustan Unilever and PepsiCo, both in India and overseas. He also has a successful track record in leading start-ups, turnarounds, joint ventures and growth businesses. He is also on the Board and Committees of the Board of several other leading companies. Berry studied engineering and Business Administration at Punjab University.
