Biz Moves: Wavemaker, mSix&Partners, Experience Commerce, Sociowash, Popkorn and id8 Media Solutions bag new business

A round-up of the agencies who have scored new clients and big businesses. Catch the key business wins and new accounts bagged by the country’s leading legacy and new agencies.

Wavemaker India and Reckitt Benckiser

On May 8, Storyboard18 reported that Reckitt Benckiser called for a media pitch which saw agencies like Dentsu, IPG Mediabrands and GroupM participate. On May 31, it was reported that Wavemaker won the multinational consumer goods company’s media business in India. The account size is estimated at Rs 1600 crores. Dentsu, which is the incumbent agency, has been handling the account since 2020.

mSix&Partners and ManipalCigna Health Insurance

GroupM’s global, media, commerce and content agency mSix&Partners has won the integrated media and social mandate for ManipalCignal Health Insurance. The account, which was won post a multi-agency pitch, the responsibilities of the agency will include handling telvision, print, radio, digital, out-of-home, and cinema from its Mumbai branch.

Experience Commerce and Karcher India

Cheil Group’s digital marketing company Experience Commerce has retained the annual e-commerce media mandate for Karcher India, a cleaning technology company, for the second year in a row. The account was won second in a row and no multi-agency pitch was involved. The responsibilities of the mandate will include optimising the brand’s online presence, improving customer engagement and increasing sales through e-commerce channels. The company will also manage Kärcher India’s media duties, right from strategy and planning to buying negotiation and implementation.

Sociowash and Viacom18

Integrated advertising agency Sociowash has renewed its digital mandate for Viacom18’s Youth, Music and English Entertainment cluster. The cluster includes responsibilities for MTV Beats, Vh1, Colors Infinity, Comedy Central, KaanPhod and Fully Faltoo. Sociowash, which has been handling their responsibilities since January 2022 will manage their social media strategy, campaign management, influencer marketing, and shoot management. In terms of its social media strategies, the agency will handle 23 of its Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages.

Popkorn and NutraBooti

Digital creative agency Popkorn has won the social and digital mandate for NutraBooti, a direct-to-consumer brand. The account was won following a competitive pitch process.

id8 Media Solutions and Amore Gelato

Integrated marketing agency id8 Media Solutions has won the integrated media mandate for Italian ice cream brand Amore Gelato. As per the mandate, the agency will drive strategy for creative and digital. Further, they will also do the social media planning for the brand.
