On June 2nd, an X user Aditi (@Sassy_Soul_) with over 80000 followers, shared a picture of a group of Mamaearth face washes asking people to throw them in the dustbin if spotted.

"If you see these products anywhere, immediately pick them up, throw them in the dustbin, and run away,” she wrote.

To this, the company’s co-founder Ghazal Alagh hit back in response to her post. She said, “Just sorry you woke up with a lot of hate. I hope you feel better soon. I would have loved to address if there was a problem. But I couldn’t find any apart from you hopping onto a Twitter trend and finding a picture of the products.”

“Quality on Mamaearth is my personal guarantee, and I am here to address each and every concern that you, or anyone on Twitter might have. I am DM away and if any of my consumers have feedback or issue with any Mamaearth product, I will get back to them,” Alagh added.

In a separate tweet, Aditi spoke about all the concerns she had with Mamaearth’s products and called them ineffective. She said, ”Myself, my family members, and friends have used your products, and I haven't seen even one product working effectively. Everyone wasted their hard-earned money, and some have been using them for years. What's the point of spending money on products that don't work at all?"

"You guys can't handle honest reviews from customers, so you asked which products I have a problem with and said you would change them. I want to tell you that all your products are terrible, you should change all of them,” she added.
