IPL 2025 to start early: BCCI announces three-year schedule

The 2025 season will kick off on March 14th and conclude on May 25th, featuring 84 matches. The 2026 season will follow a similar format, running from March 15th to May 31st.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled the schedule for the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the next three years.

The 2025 season will kick off on March 14th and conclude on May 25th, featuring 84 matches. The 2026 season will follow a similar format, running from March 15th to May 31st. However, the 2027 season will be expanded to 94 matches, starting on March 14th and ending on May 30th.

This early release of the schedule provides clarity to both fans and franchises, allowing for better planning and anticipation.

Jiostar, the joint venture between Reliance Industries and Disney Star, will continue to broadcast the IPL. While JioCinema streamed the previous season, it's expected that Disney Hotstar will be the primary platform for the 2025 season.
