Breaking: PM Modi positive on resolving issues related to broadcasting industry

PM Narendra Modi met with the board members of the News Broadcasters & Digital Association (NBDA) on August 27 to discuss key issues. MIB Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw was also present in the meeting.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured members of NBDA that he understands the issues that the broadcasting industry is facing.

Board members of the News Broadcasters & Digital Association (NBDA) met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss various issues related to the broadcasting sector, including the draft Broadcast Bill and IT Rules 2021, on August 27.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was also present at the meeting.

The delegation of the NBDA was led by its President, Rajat Sharma.

An NBDA member, speaking on condition of anonymity, said, “The meeting was very positive. Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured us that he understands the issues our industry is facing and he appeared very optimistic about resolving them.”

The member added, “MIB Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was also present during the meeting, and issues related to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting were discussed as well. Both the Prime Minister and the MIB Minister assured us that the issues affecting our sector will be resolved soon.”

Members informed the PM regarding the health of the news broadcast industry, constraints, problems, and challenges faced in the era of digital revolution which was severely impacting and affecting the growth of the ‘news’ genre.
