EXCLUSIVE: Godrej & Boyce to undergo rebranding after split
Additionally, the Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) is set to infuse around Rs 4,000 crore into its business ventures as part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at unlocking value across 14 different verticals.

After the family agreement that split the Godrej Empire in May 2024, Godrej & Boyce is gearing up for rebranding to be announced later this year. This strategic move aims to reposition the company’s brand identity, goals, and growth trajectory for the future. Godrej & Boyce, a diverse conglomerate with roots spanning over a century, is aligning its strategy to reflect evolving business needs and global trends.

An important part of this transformation is the repositioning of Godrej Interio, a well-known name in India’s home and office furniture market will evolve into a lifestyle brand, with a focus on offering a more holistic experience. This shift will be supported by state-of-the-art engineering facilities, allowing Godrej Interio to cater to a broader audience with lifestyle-driven, design-forward offerings. The expansion reflects Godrej Enterprises Group's (GEG) commitment to adapting to changing consumer preferences and solidifying its position in competitive markets. The company aims to enhance customer experience via its offerings and expansion plans.

Additionally, GEG is set to infuse around Rs 4,000 crore into its business ventures as part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at unlocking value across 14 different verticals. A key part of this strategy is optimizing the group's extensive real estate assets. Real estate has historically been a substantial part of Godrej’s value, and with this new capital infusion, GEG plans to streamline operations across industries such as aerospace, aviation, defense, energy, and consumer durables, among others.

Sources familiar with the development confirm that the rebranding of Godrej & Boyce is a natural progression of the company’s evolution. Both Godrej Industries Group (GIG) and GEG will continue their association with Madison as their media agency to ensure seamless brand communications.

A source close to the development said, “It is natural that the GEG will undergo rebranding. The timeline that we are looking at is in next three months. With the growth of the companies under GEG, rebranding is the right strategy going forward.”

Godrej & Boyce has also seen internal leadership changes. Several Senior Vice Presidents have been elevated to new roles, including Mehernosh Pithawalla, who was promoted to Executive Vice President - Strategic Projects, within the CEO’s office. Storyboard18 was first to report about the key elevation at Godrej & Boyce. These leadership changes are in line with the company’s broader goal of implementing fresh strategies and driving growth.

After the family settlement, the Godrej Enterprises Group is now led by Jamshyd Godrej, Chairperson and Managing Director, and his niece, Nyrika Holkar, Executive Director, along with their families.

This group comprises of Godrej & Boyce (G&B) and its affiliates, which have presence across multiple industries spanning Aerospace, Aviation, Defence, Engines and Motors, Energy, Security, Building Materials, Construction, Green Building Consulting, EPC Services, Intralogistics, Healthcare Equipment, Durables, Furniture, Interior Design, Architectural Fittings, IT, Software as well as Infrastructure Solutions.
