Bata India posted a consolidated profit of Rs 52 crore year-on-year

On Monday, Bata India posted its quarter 2 results for the fiscal year 2025. The footwear brand posted a consolidated profit of Rs 52 crore year-on-year in Q2 FY25 compared to Rs 34 crore.

The company's revenue from operation saw a marginal increase of 2.2 percent to Rs 83,714.4 crore.

The operating profit was reported at Rs 52.4 crore.

Bata Ltd said it renovated 48 stores and opened 4 Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBOs) for Power, 136 EBOs for Hush Puppies, and 14 Kiosk for Floatz.

"Our expansion through franchise stores in Tier 3-5 markets, combined with our robust digital presence, is helping us tap into new growth opportunities with a strengthened omnichannel approach. Cost efficiency remains a cornerstone across all operations including manufacturing facilities," Gunjan Shah, MD, and CEO - of Bata India Limited said.

Shah expressed optimism about consumption recovery in the coming quarters, backed by festive season momentum and strong market positioning.

"We are seeing strong validation of our premiumisation strategy across channels, with premium products showing robust growth and increased contribution to our revenue mix. Our Brand stories connected well with a targeted audience," Shah added.

Separately, Kanchan Chehal, Non-Executive (Non-Independent) Director, tendered her resignation as Director in the Company on November 4 to pursue opportunities outside Bata Group.
