Manish Tiwary, former Country Manager of the India Consumer Business at Amazon India, has been named the next Managing Director of Nestlé India. Tiwary's appointment marks a significant leadership transition as he steps into the shoes of Suresh Narayanan, who leaves behind a legacy of successful growth and expansion for the global food and beverage giant in India.

Tiwary, who joined Amazon India in 2016, spearheaded the company's consumer business operations, driving transformation in the way India buys and sells online.

His tenure at Amazon saw the rise of digital commerce, as he played a pivotal role in strengthening the seller services and creating a more inclusive platform for millions of buyers and sellers across the country.

In an exclusive interview with Storyboard18 in 2022, Tiwary spoke about one of Amazon's biggest campaigns then, 'Amazon Se Liya' where he mentioned, "In Amazon, we have a saying: Focus on the input. You can’t control the output. That’s what we’re focused on."

Before his time at Amazon, Tiwary spent close to 20 years at Unilever, where he held various sales, marketing, and general management roles.

His last position was as Managing Director for Unilever's operations in the Gulf region, overseeing a complex market spanning 34 countries across North Africa and the Middle East, based out of Dubai. His experience at Unilever South Asia, where he was part of the India Board, placed him at the forefront of sales strategies in the region.

Tiwary's educational credentials include a Management degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Bengaluru, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from BITS, Pilani.
