Inshorts Azhar Iqubal takes over as chairman
Azhar Iqubal co-founded the company as a Facebook page along with Purkayastha and Anunay Arunav, where in 2013, Inshorts was released as an app.

Azhar Iqubal, who was the co-founder and CEO of Inshorts, has taken over the news aggragator and content distribution company as chairman. Deepit Purkayastha will take over as the chief executive officer.

Iqubal co-founded the company as a Facebook page along with Purkayastha and Anunay Arunav, where in 2013, Inshorts was released as an app.

In 2015, it was released on Apple iPhones and was shortlisted for the third batch of Nasscom's 10,000 startups, as stated in ET.
