Further, it has been highlighted that Basil Kwauk, who is Air India's chief operating officer will replace Campbell Wilson on the board of Air Indian Express.

As per an internal memo sent by the company on April 22nd, Campbell Wilson who served as the chief executive officer of Air India, will be stepping down as the chairman of Air India Express, the airline's low-cost subsidiary. He will be replaced by its chief commercial officer Nipun Aggarwal.

Further, it has been highlighted that Basil Kwauk, who is Air India's chief operating officer will replace Wilson on the board of Air Indian Express.

Last year, Vistara merged with Air India, and before its merger, as per reports, it was highlighted that the Tata Group would retain all the top managerial positions of Air India airline post-merger with Vistara.

Tata Group, as per an ET report, has supported the position of Wilson as chief executive of Air India, followed by Nipun Aggarwal and Sanjay Sharma as chief commercial and transformation officer and chief financial officer, respectively.

The report added that Vistara CEO Vinod Kanan could return to his parent company, Singapore Airlines (SIA). Whereas, Deepak Rajawat, the chief commercial officer at Vistara, might be a part of the merged entity.
