PhonePe appoints Shivnath Thukral as Vice President for Public Policy and Government Affairs

Shivnath Thukral joins PhonePe after a stint at Meta as its Vice President of Public Policy where he led the organisation as a strategic thinker, business leader and an advocate on regulatory issues related to technology and financial inclusion.

Shivnath Thukral will be part of the leadership team at PhonePe and work closely with founders Sameer Nigam and Rahul Chari and other leaders. 

PhonePe has appointed Shivnath Thukral as Vice President for Public Policy and Government Affairs. He will be part of the leadership team at PhonePe and work closely with founders Sameer Nigam and Rahul Chari and other leaders.

In this role, Thukral will be responsible for leading PhonePe’s external engagement and discussions with policy makers and regulators to ensure the company continues to innovate and create a positive impact in the Indian economy, while also building on its thought leadership in the industry.

Shivnath Thukral joins PhonePe after a stint at Meta as its Vice President of Public Policy where he led the organisation as a strategic thinker, business leader and an advocate on regulatory issues related to technology and financial inclusion. Thukral in recent years has emerged as a leading policy professional occupying important positions in various industry associations such as BIF, USISPF, PAFI etc.
